1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Roshi App Studio ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Medical Dictionary mobile application and its features (the "App").
By downloading, installing, opening, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not install or use the App and uninstall it if you have already installed it.
The App is distributed through Google Play. Google Play's applicable terms also apply to your download and to purchases made through Google Play. Where Google's terms control matters such as payment, refunds, or distribution, Google's applicable terms will govern.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your country.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
By using the App, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirements and that your use of the App is lawful in your jurisdiction.
3. Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
The App is an educational and reference tool for medical terminology. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The information provided through the App is for general educational purposes only. Medical information can change, and content may be incomplete, simplified, inaccurate, regionally different, or out of date.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- No doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient, nurse-patient, or other professional relationship is created between you and us by using the App.
- Definitions, abbreviations, drug information, anatomy information, quiz content, and AI Assistant responses are provided for general information only.
- You must not use the App to diagnose a medical condition, interpret symptoms, test results, scans, or other medical information.
- You must not use the App to select, start, stop, or adjust medication or dosage.
- You must not use the App to decide whether to seek or delay professional medical care.
- Always consult a qualified physician, pharmacist, nurse, or other healthcare professional regarding medical questions or conditions.
- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical care because of information obtained from the App.
- In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not rely on this App.
- Healthcare professionals and students should treat the App as a study and reference aid only. It does not replace professional clinical judgment, institutional protocols, formularies, or other authoritative medical references.
You use the App at your own risk and remain responsible for decisions you make based on information obtained through the App.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the App on an Android device that you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes.
This is a license, not a sale. We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the App.
5. Prohibited Uses
You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Extract, scrape, bulk-copy, republish, resell, or redistribute substantial portions of the dictionary, abbreviation, pharmacology, or quiz databases.
- Remove, obscure, or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App.
- Use the App in a clinical, diagnostic, prescribing, emergency-response, or patient-care system.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with advertising, Premium entitlement checks, consent mechanisms, security mechanisms, or licensing features.
- Generate artificial advertising impressions or clicks.
- Use automated systems to abuse the App or AI Assistant.
- Use the App to distribute spam, malware, unlawful content, or other harmful material.
- Use the App in violation of applicable laws, regulations, export controls, or sanctions.
- Enter or process identifiable health information belonging to another person, including patient information, through the App or AI Assistant.
A material breach of these restrictions may result in termination of your license to use the App.
6. AI Assistant
6.1 Description
The AI Assistant is an optional feature intended to provide general information about medical terminology. It uses third-party artificial intelligence services and is not a substitute for a healthcare professional.
6.2 Third-Party Processing
When you send a message to the AI Assistant, your message and relevant conversation context may be transmitted over the internet to third-party AI service providers for processing.
Third-party providers operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control the internal processing practices of third-party AI providers.
6.3 Information You Must Not Submit
Do not submit symptoms, diagnoses, medications, laboratory results, imaging results, medical records, insurance information, names, or other identifiable personal or health information to the AI Assistant.
6.4 AI Accuracy
AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or incorrect statements. AI responses are not necessarily reviewed by a healthcare professional before being displayed to you.
You must independently verify important information with qualified healthcare professionals and authoritative medical sources.
6.5 Availability
The AI Assistant depends on internet connectivity and third-party services. It may be unavailable, delayed, rate-limited, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
7. Advertising
The free version of the App may display advertisements delivered through Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, native, or app-open advertisements.
Where required by applicable law, the App may display a consent mechanism regarding personalized advertising.
We do not control the content of individual advertisements and do not endorse advertisers, their products, or any medical or health claims made in advertisements.
Any interaction or transaction between you and an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
Premium users may receive an ad-free experience as described on the applicable purchase screen.
8. Premium Purchases and Subscriptions
8.1 Premium Features
The App may offer Premium purchases, including subscriptions and/or a one-time purchase, depending on the products currently available through Google Play.
The current price, billing period, introductory offer, trial period, renewal terms, and included features will be displayed on the purchase screen before you confirm a purchase.
8.2 Google Play Billing
Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google processes payments and applicable billing information according to Google's terms and privacy practices.
We do not receive or store your complete payment card or bank account details.
8.3 Automatic Renewal
Where a Premium product is a subscription, it may automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled according to Google Play's subscription rules.
8.4 Cancellation
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.
8.5 Free Trials and Introductory Offers
If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, eligibility, duration, pricing, and renewal conditions will be displayed by Google Play and on the purchase screen.
8.6 Lifetime Purchase
If a one-time Lifetime Premium product is offered, it is a non-recurring purchase that provides Premium access for the operational lifetime of the App, subject to applicable law and the terms displayed at the time of purchase.
8.7 Restore Purchases
Where supported, Premium purchases may be restored using the Google Account that made the original purchase.
8.8 Price Changes
Prices may change for future purchases or subscription periods. Google Play will handle applicable notifications and required confirmations.
8.9 Refunds
Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's applicable refund policies and consumer rights.

8.10 Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the laws of your country.
9. Your Content
"Your Content" means information or material that you add to the App, including custom words, bookmarks, quiz history, and messages submitted to the AI Assistant.
You retain ownership of content that you create, subject to the rights and licenses necessary for the App and third-party services to operate.
Information stored locally on your device may be permanently deleted if you clear the App's storage, uninstall the App, reset your device, lose your device, or otherwise lose access to locally stored information.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your content where backup functionality is not provided by the App.
You agree that content you submit will not violate applicable law or the rights of others and will not contain another person's identifiable health information.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its source code, user interface, design, graphics, icons, text, databases, medical dictionary content, abbreviation content, pharmacology content, quiz content, and associated branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved.
Third-party open-source components included in the App remain subject to their applicable licenses.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate third-party services, including Google AdMob, Google Firebase, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, and third-party AI services.
These services are operated by independent companies and may have separate terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, security, or practices of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
Features such as rating the App, sharing content, or viewing other applications may open external services. Once you leave the App, the applicable third-party service terms may apply.
12. Availability, Changes, and Updates
We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features of the App at any time, subject to applicable law.
We aim to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee that the App will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Updates may be installed automatically depending on your Android device and Google Play settings.
Older versions of the App may stop functioning when Android, Google Play, or third-party services change.
Certain features, including advertising, AI functionality, configuration, and purchases, may require an internet connection. Your mobile network provider may charge data fees.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of information are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

14. Term and Termination
14.1 By You
You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.
14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, interfere with advertising or Premium systems, misuse the AI Assistant, or where required by law.
14.3 Discontinuation
We may discontinue the App or particular features at any time, subject to applicable law and any obligations relating to paid services.
14.4 Survival
Provisions concerning medical disclaimers, prohibited use, intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply after termination.
15. Content and Data Sources
Medical dictionary and educational content may be compiled from publicly available reference materials and other sources.
Such information is provided for educational purposes and may not represent the most recent medical or regulatory information.
Where third-party attribution is required, appropriate attribution may be provided within the App or through applicable documentation.

Please include sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the material in question, your contact information, and a description of the basis for your complaint.
We will review legitimate copyright complaints and take appropriate action where required by applicable law.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and its content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, accurate, complete, or error-free.
We do not warrant that medical definitions, drug information, abbreviations, quiz answers, or AI-generated responses are accurate, complete, current, clinically valid, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, or anticipated savings arising from or relating to the App.
We will not be responsible for harm resulting from reliance on medical information, dictionary entries, drug information, quiz answers, AI-generated responses, or use of the App contrary to the medical warnings in these Terms.
We are not responsible for loss or corruption of locally stored content or for acts or omissions of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the App will be limited to the amount permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or other mandatory liabilities under applicable law.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your material breach of these Terms, misuse of the App, unlawful use of the App, or violation of another person's rights.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Roshi App Studio is legally established, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction permitted under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive consumers of mandatory rights or protections available under the laws of their country of residence.
21. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern or dispute regarding the App, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

22. General
22.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App, subject to applicable Google Play terms and mandatory consumer rights.
22.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this document indicates when the Terms were last revised.
For material changes, we may provide reasonable notice through the App, the Google Play listing, or another appropriate method.
22.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
22.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
22.5 Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
22.6 Force Majeure
We will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
22.7 Third-Party Rights
Except where expressly stated or required by applicable law, these Terms do not create rights for third parties to enforce these Terms.
22.8 Language
These Terms are written in English. Translations may be provided for convenience. Where legally permitted, the English version will govern in the event of a conflict.
