1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the "Reset Network Setting" mobile application (the "App") handles information when you install, access or use it on your Android device.

We built the App so that it can be used without creating an account and without asking you to provide your name, email address, phone number or any other directly identifying personal detail. However, like most mobile apps that are free and ad-supported, some technical information is collected automatically by the App and by third-party services integrated into it, such as Google AdMob and Google Firebase.

By downloading, installing or using the App you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

2. What the App Does

The App is a network utility that provides:

  • Step-by-step guides / instructions for resetting network settings.
  • A list of USSD / secret device codes for reference.
  • An internet speed test (download, upload and ping).
  • A device information viewer showing details about your own device.
  • A data / network usage history view.
  • Multiple display languages.
  • An optional paid "Premium" subscription that removes advertising.

3. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to type in personal information. The categories below describe information that is collected automatically or generated while you use the App.

3.1 Device and Technical Information

The App and its analytics/advertising partners may collect standard technical data such as device manufacturer, model and brand, operating system / Android version, device language and region, screen and hardware attributes, app version, and general usage events (for example which screens are opened). This is used to keep the App working, to measure performance and to fix crashes.

Note: The "Device Info" screen inside the App reads details about your own device (for example model, build fingerprint, security patch level) and displays them to you on-screen. This information is shown locally on your device by that feature and is not uploaded to us by that feature.

3.2 Advertising Identifier

The App uses the Android Advertising ID (AAID). This resettable identifier is used by Google AdMob to show ads and, where allowed, to show more relevant (personalized) ads and to limit how often the same ad is shown. You can reset it or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (see Section 8).

3.3 Approximate Location (Derived from IP Address – No GPS)

The App does not request GPS/precise-location permission and does not track your physical movements. However:

  • Advertising and analytics providers may infer an approximate location (for example country/city) from your IP address.
  • The internet speed test sends a request to Ookla's speedtest.net service, which may use your IP address to estimate your approximate location and select an appropriate test server.

3.4 Usage and Analytics Data

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used, including sessions, screen views, feature usage and device class, so we can improve it.

3.5 Crash and Diagnostic Data

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic reports if the App crashes or misbehaves. These reports can include device state, operating system version and a technical stack trace, which help us fix bugs.

3.6 Push Notification Token

The App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications, for example update or feature messages. Firebase generates a device registration token so that messages can be sent to your device.

3.7 Purchase / Subscription Status

When you buy a Premium subscription, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment. The App only receives a confirmation that a subscription is active and stores a local "premium" flag on your device. We do not receive or store your credit/debit card number or full payment details.

3.8 Information Stored Only on Your Device

App preferences such as your selected language, onboarding status, premium flag and similar settings are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App, subject to any device backup you have enabled.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and operate the App's features.
  • Run the internet speed test against an appropriate test server.
  • Display advertisements, including where permitted personalized ads, and support the free version of the App.
  • Process and validate Premium subscriptions and remove ads for subscribers.
  • Measure and analyze usage so we can improve features and performance.
  • Detect, diagnose and fix crashes, bugs and technical problems.
  • Send you push notifications relevant to the App.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the App and prevent abuse.
  • Comply with applicable laws.

5. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy. Data they collect is governed by their respective policies:

We do not sell your personal information.

6. How Information Is Shared

We may share information only as follows:

  • With the third-party service providers listed in Section 5, so they can perform their functions, including advertising, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, billing and speed testing.
  • To comply with the law, a legal request, court order or valid government demand.
  • To protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us, and to detect or prevent fraud or abuse.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case any acquirer will remain bound by this Policy or will notify you of any changes.

7. Permissions Used by the App and Why

The App may request or use the following Android permissions, depending on the features and third-party SDKs included in the installed version:

  • INTERNET
Required to load ads, run the speed test, deliver notifications, and use analytics and crash-reporting services.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Used to detect whether you are online and the type of network connection, which supports network-related features and the speed test.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
Used to access the Android Advertising ID for advertising purposes, where applicable.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS
On Android versions that require notification permission, this may be used to allow the App to send notifications when you grant permission.

The App does not request access to your precise (GPS) location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, or personal files.

8. Your Choices and Controls

  • Personalized ads / Advertising ID: On your device, you can manage advertising preferences and the Advertising ID through Android's Google advertising settings. The exact options may vary depending on your Android version and device manufacturer.
  • Notifications: You can disable the App's notifications in your device's app notification settings.
  • Remove ads: Purchase a Premium subscription to remove ads.
  • Stop all collection: You can uninstall the App at any time, which stops further collection by the App and removes locally stored preferences. Information already collected by third-party providers may remain subject to their own policies and retention practices.
  • Manage / cancel subscriptions: Use the Google Play Store's Subscriptions section to manage or cancel a Premium subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct or delete personal data. To make such a request, contact us at latifahsen272@gmail.com. Because the App does not require an account, we may be unable to identify data associated specifically with you.

9. GDPR / EEA Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where similar data-protection rights apply, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.

9.1 Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the information and the purpose of processing, we may process information based on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent: Where required, we rely on your consent for certain processing activities, such as personalized advertising or other optional processing. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Contract: Processing may be necessary to provide features or services you request, including processing Premium subscription status.
  • Legitimate interests: We may process certain technical, analytics, security and diagnostic information where necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligation: We may process information where necessary to comply with applicable laws or legal requirements.

9.2 Your GDPR Rights

Subject to applicable law and certain legal exceptions, EEA users may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Object to direct marketing and certain profiling activities.

To exercise these rights, contact us using: latifahsen272@gmail.com.

Because the App does not require an account, some information may be processed directly by third-party service providers integrated into the App. We may not always be able to identify information associated with a particular individual. Where necessary, we may request reasonable information to verify a request.

9.3 International Data Transfers

Some third-party service providers used by the App may process information outside the EEA, including in countries that may have different data-protection laws.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards may be used for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision or applicable contractual safeguards.

9.4 Right to Complain

If you believe that your data-protection rights have been violated, you may contact the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live, work, or where you believe the alleged violation occurred.
